I am loving Bob's Red Mill products! Simple mix just needs an egg, water and butter and 15 minutes later I had delicious cookies. Mmmmm! I've had one with a glass of milk, but I'm eye-balling another. Hehe.

My Wedding

So I realized I'm a freak and did not post anything about my wedding back in June!! LOL So here it is now. Better late than never, right? :-P

The Shoes. My mom bought me vintage blue earrings from Etsy. They are clip on so they pinned on the top easily.

Table Decor. Sand filled Ball jars and votives on the tables.

The Cake. Made by Neelley King, The Sweet Life in Columbia, Tennessee. Delicious!

Groom's Cake. Hubby's mom made this one. She did an awesome job! (Hint: He loves mountain biking ;)

The Brew. The Hubby also brews his own beer so, of course, he had to make some for his own wedding.

Jewelry. I have to show off it off. I made them myself. :-D My bridesmaids had a matching set, but their's had green crystals instead of clear.

Homemade Gluten Free Cheesesticks

I did it!
I used the rest of the dough from the pizza mix the other night. Bought real mozzarella, lol, the kind in a ball vacuum sealed.
The dough cooks for 7-9 min without toppings then brush with olive oil. Layer the mozzarella, sprinkle garlic powder and minced garlic (depends on how garlicky you like it), and Italian seasoning. Bake until the cheese gets golden areas.
It smelled sooo good! I used leftover Ragu pizza sauce for dipping sauce.

** Need to add a comment - I have been editting my pictures and creating my blog posts on my Iphone. After posting this I have looked at it on a computer and I didn't realize before that my cheesesticks looked green! LOL! It really didn't look like that! It was gooey white mozzarella. **

Homemade Gluten Free Pizza #2

I think we have a winner! Even the Hubs liked it!
I used Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust. First time use because I didn't like the last one I used in my previous pizza post. Half of the mix made this "large" thin crust pizza. I also used Ragu pizza sauce, a little garlic powder and garlic salt, shredded mozzarella and mild cheddar.
I have the other half of the dough left that has to be used in a couple of days so I'm thinking cheese sticks??

Gluten Free Pizza

My first attempt with a gluten free bread mix to make a pizza crust. Well my first homemade pizza period, lol. There was so much more dough then I knew what to do with so it's very thick but overall it wasn't too bad. I'm going to try half of the dough next time so I can make it more of a thin crust (will make that expensive mix last longer too!).

So for health reasons I was told to start eating gluten free. It's only been a month and I can't say I've been good at it. Maybe 5 eating "bad" days out of 30 so I guess that's not tooooo bad for a beginner, haha.

One of the things I've found gluten free and enjoyed are Larabars. Even better too because most of them only have about 4-5 ingredients so we are not eating a bunch of preservatives. The Hubs found a recipe online for making them at home and we tried it this weekend. :)

We used damyhealth.com for the base of what we wanted to make. Hubs made Cherry Pie and Blueberry Muffin, which he loved. I made peanut butter chocolate chip. I think mine turned out good too, but I will use less vanilla next time, or maybe none at all. We'll see.

We doubled the amounts of the damyhealth.com recipes and were able to get 4-5 normal size bars.

Erky Irvine

I completed Irvine over the weekend and put him in Sanker's Country House. To my excitement he sold the first day but then I remembered that I forgot to get a final picture of him so I'm kind of sad. He was so cute! I have a "semi-done" shot that I've added below. (Please ignore my mess in the background hehe). Finished her had stick arms holding a "BOO" banner on rusty wire with orange glitter edges and his hat was crooked to the side. He was a lot of fun to make. Now it's time to start on Christmas. :)

So I finally got off my butt and did something! I'm always looking up craft ideas and going through magazines and thinking to myself "I really want to do that", but when I get home from work I take care of the house or become a bum. BUT I have finally done something!

It felt good to do something crafty. Both are on sale in Sanker's Country House booth at Spring Hill Antique Mall. I also have 3 more frames ready so I'll get pics of them once they are in the booth.

I have to thank Pinterest for being my muse. Lol. I'm addicted to that site so it has been my constant reminder of what I love to do.

Miss Elsa

Miss Elsa is 7 inches tall sitting. She is an upcycled bear that has been shaved and aged to give a well loved look. Her nose and mouth are hand stitched with thread. She has acrylic eyes and is 5 way jointed. She has a pretty robin's egg blue and chocolate polka dot bow with an antique gold metal filigree heart attached. Elsa also has a vintage screw on earring made with chocolate pearls.

Lulu Long Ears

Miss Lulu is ready for her party! She measures is 14 inches tall from the top of her hat to her bottom. She is completely coffee stained for an aged look. Made with pink chenille. Her hat, ruffle collar, pinwheel and inner ears are cotton fabric. Her pinwheel has glass glitter along the edges. And the rim and top of her hat has a white tinsel. Nose and mouth are hand stitched and she has acrylic eyes. Arms and legs are hand sewn in place with rusty bells. She also has rusty bells down her belly and on her pinwheel. She has a stained cotton tail as well.

Vintage Style Pearls and Chain Bracelet

This vintage inspired bracelet is 7 3/4 inches long with a 2 inch extender. It has 2 vintage brass chains. The 3rd chain is made with pearl glass beads wire wrapped to pieces of the vintage brass chain. Extender also has a small off white glass bead on the end. This is a Elzy Studio design and is now listed on ETSY.

I read a GREAT book during my vacation and I think it is one that every woman should read! Perfect on Paper: The (Mis)adventures of Waverly Bryson by Maria Murnane. It truly is wonderful. Waverly is so easy to relate to that she becomes more of a friend than just a character, you feel like you are actually a part of her life. She also has Honey Notes. Which are sassy little cards that say things such as:

I know, I know. Its been forever and a day since I posted. It is July now, so no more snow on the ground. Now we're just praying for rain because the yard looks dead. Just got back from vacation to Gulf breeze, Florida. It was so nice down there, tar balls aside. Here's some pictures:

Snowflakes

Remember when you were little and you would fold a paper several times, cut out random shapes, then open it to see what wonderful, individual snowflake you just made? Well, they really do look like that! haha. I hadn't seen one so perfectly before, but during the snow that I mentioned in my previous post (which lasted much longer than we have been used to) we were walking to the truck and there they were. Little, perfect, absolutely individual snowflakes laying on the door. They hadn't melted or stuck to others to make a mound of snow. I had to share them with you. Maybe you've seen them for yourself before, maybe not, but they are still beautiful. I zoomed in on the shots but I added one original shot so you can see the actual image.

Can't believe it's 2010 already! Crazy! Brought in the New Year with my boyfriend and great friends. Oh and we got the first winter snow today. It was beautiful. Maybe got 1/2" but its enough to close schools and make everyone rush to get milk and bread. lol.

Early Christmas Present

So my boyfriend and I are worse than little kids when it comes to waiting for Christmas to open our presents, so we each opened one early. hehe. He got me a camera! I just have to share it with you. Its a Canon Power Shot. Takes awesome pictures, see below. Oh oh and its a pretty blue color haha. Now I can stop borrowing his or my mom's camera. :)

It automatically adjusted itself to the macro setting to take a picture of this fabric. I was less than an inch away from it. Look at the detail! My lovey dovey boyfriend opening his present. I got him an Xbox. He was excited :) My parent's dog, Hershey (aka Earl, Turkey, and the devil). haha. He growled before the pic but stopped just as I was taking it then started back up again. He has his sweet moments, but it was bedtime. lol Must take more pictures!!! :)

Introducing Perry. He is ready to celebrate a party. He is about 14 inches tall from the top of his hat to his bottom and 10 inches wide from foot to foot. Made from shaved and painted faux fur felt for a grungy look. Ruffle and hat are colorful cotton flannel with cotton batting fringe around his hat. Rusty bells attach his arms and legs. Nose and mouth are thread sewn. His buttons are vintage blue velvet and green acrylic. Eyes are acrylic as well. Perry's body is made from an altered Sweet Meadows Farm pattern.
